United Way of Genesee County, Others to Provide Free Flu Shots in Flint

The United Way of Genesee County and other partners have teamed up to offer free flu shots to uninsured and under-insured in the Flint area.

The United Way of Genesee County, Walgreens and FamilyWize  will be offering the free flu shots. Those in need must provide a driver's license or Michigan ID card to receive the vaccinations. Winter hats, gloves and scarves will also be distributed to those who receive the vaccinations and are in need of some winter items. Both the flu shots and winter clothing will be distributed on a first-come, first serve basis.

The flu shots will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. on Thursday at the University of Michigan - Flint pavilion in downtown Flint. For more information, call (810) 762-5827.
