Organizers, employers and educators will be on hand as the University of Michigan - Flint hosts an internship conference on August 6.

According to WNEM, the event will focus on the growing internship opportunities and advancing the impact they have for students, businesses and communities throughout the state.

'Intern Advatage: Creating a Talent Pipeline through Community Partnerships and Resources' will be held at the Riverfront Center. Organizers of the event say it will feature workshops designed to launch, expand and engage new stakeholders in internship programs.

Coordinating the event is the Michigan Career Educator and Employer Alliance (MCEEA), a statewide collaboration aimed at creating relationships and leveraging resource for the advancement of career and internship opportunities. The Prima Civitas Foundation (PCF), Michigan State University (MSU), U of M Flint and Davenport University are among the MCEEA partners.
