Republican Congressman Dave Camp announced on Monday that he won't seek re-election to represent Michigan's 4th Congressional District. Camp, who chairs the Ways and Means Committee and is from Midland, released a statement saying he reached the decision "after much consideration and discussion" with his family. Camp added that "serving in Congress is the great honor of my professional life" and that during the next nine months, he will redouble  his efforts to grow the economy and expand opportunity for every American "by fixing our broken tax code, permanently solving physician payments for seniors, strengthening the social safety net and finding new markets for U.S. goods and services."
