Tigers’ starting pitcher Justin Verlander is causing quite the stir this morning. The AL Cy Young and MVP winner was shelled in the first inning of last night’s MLB All Star game. But what is really causing the buzz are reports he has been going out on the town with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the two have been spotted at multiple metro Detroit establishments over the past week including the Aerosmith concert at the Palace and a popular bar in Birmingham.

The 29-year-old Verland and 20-year-old Upton, who is a Michigan native, met on a commercial shoot for the popular “MLB 2k12″ video game.
