1941 — Mickey Owen of the Brooklyn Dodgers allowed a passed ball on a third strike to Tommy Henrich of the New York Yankees with two outs in the top of the ninth inning of Game 4 of the World Series at Ebbets Field. 1953 — The New York Yankees won their fifth consecutive World Series, beating the Brooklyn Dodgers, 4-3, in Game 6 at Yankee Stadium. (More info.)
