Buick City Site to Get Pipe Manufacturing Operation

A company based in Birmingham, Alabama is expected to announce today that they will launch a new production facility at Flint's historic Buick City site.

According to the Detroit Free Press, American Cast Iron Pipe will announce plans to build components on part of the site which was abandoned by GM over a decade ago. American Cast Iron Pipe recently won the right to negotiate a contract to supply parts to the Karegnondi Water Authority 67-mile pipeline.
