Buick City Site to Get Pipe Manufacturing Operation

A company based in Birmingham, Alabama is expected to announce today that they will launch a new production facility at Flint's historic Buick City site.

According to the Detroit Free Press, American Cast Iron Pipe will announce plans to build components on part of the site which was abandoned by GM over a decade ago. American Cast Iron Pipe recently won the right to negotiate a contract to supply parts to the Karegnondi Water Authority 67-mile pipeline.

County Signs Contract, KWA Pipeline Construction to Start Within 30 Days

Genesee County has signed a contract for building the intake portion of a new water pipeline.

According to MLive, Drain Commissioner Jeff Wright told the Board of Commissioners that all of the required paperwork has been submitted by L.D'Agostini & Sons, Inc which allowed for the signing of the contract last week.
