King defeated Bobby Riggs in ‘The Battle of the Sexes’ tennis match at the Houston Astrodome in 1973. She founded the Women’s Tennis Association and World Team Tennis. King was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1987.

Profession: Baseball Executive
Best Known For: Sandy Alderson is the general manager of the New York Mets. He has held the position since 2010. Prior to taking the Mets’ job, Alderson served as general manager of the Oakland A’s from 1983 to 1997, including their World Series-winning year of 1989.

Boris Becker
Age: 45
Profession: Retired Tennis Player
Best Known For: A six-time grand slam singles champion from Germany, Boris Becker won 49 championships while playing from 1984 to 1999. In 1985, Becker became the youngest-ever winner of the men’s singles title at Wimbledon at age 17.

Joe Nathan
Age: 38
Profession: MLB Player
Best Known For: Joe Nathan is a relief pitcher for the Texas Rangers. Nathan has been named to five All-Star teams since debuting in the major leagues in 1999. He has played for the San Francisco Giants, Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers. Nathan won the American League Rolaids Relief Man Award in 2009 while with the Twins.

Oscar Pistorius
Age: 26
Profession: Olympic Sprinter
Best Known For: The first double-amputee runner in Olympic history, Oscar Pistorius is a South African sprinter who runs with the assistance of two carbon-fibre blades. Known as the ‘Blade Runner,’ Pistorius competed in the 400-meter race and the 4×400-meter relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
