"When pigs fly" usually has a negative connotation, but not this time.

Vee Nguyen, a high school senior, actually made pigs fly in order to make Ben Davis' day. This video is absolutely amazing and will bring a tear to your eye and a warmth to your heart.

Nguyen, 19, asked Davis, a 16-year-old special needs student at Everett High School, in Lansing, Mich., to the prom at a pep rally last week.

At the rally, Davis rolled out on to the gym floor as students held out a large box saying "I'll ask you to prom when pigs fly!"  Once the box was opened pig shaped balloons rose to the ceiling! Awwwww! The students on hand were ecstatic and video of the moment has gone viral.

Nguyen told the Detroit Free Press, "I thought doing it at the pep rally where there are a lot of students would be a great idea to spread the message and to let others know that no one should be treated any different."

The pair met in 2014 when Davis, who has a condition called Pantothenate Kinase-Associated Neurodegeneration which affects nerve cells in the brain, was a freshman and Nguyen worked with a program in the school to help special needs students. The two became fast friends.

Nguyen said, "I started talking to Ben and seeing him everyday. I would eat lunch with him and we would have short conversations since it's hard for him to speak."

The pair will now have even more to discuss for the next few months as they prepare for the prom, slated for May 13.
