We could soon see some big changes in the NFL. Commissioner Roger Goodell wants to do away with kickoffs to reduce head injuries.

In the NFL's attempts to reduce violent injuries—mainly those to the head—they have done many things. The kickoff has already seen changes in the last few years. It was moved from the 30-yard line to the 35-yard line, in hopes that it would reduce the frequency of returns and, thus, the number of injuries. Now, the NFL wants to replace it all together.

While it might reduce the chance of serious injury, it might also make the game America loves a little bit more boring.
