Brittany Maynard has scheduled her suicide for November 1. The terminally ill 29-year-old plans to be surrounded by loved ones as she waits to surrender to her medically induced death. Her situation is unimaginable at best. Her malignant brain tumor causes intense pain and seizures every day. Doctor's tell her she will eventually lose all control of her body. Extensive preparations have been made so that Brittany can legally obtain a medically assisted death before she is no longer able to function.

The question is: do you think she should end her life on her own terms?

We polled our listening audience.  You can find the results below.

My own personal opinion stems from a religious stance, and many of our callers took the same stance. On the flip side, other callers put themselves in Brittany's shoes. Imagining that pain, and fear, and misery caused them to understand her desire to die before all dignity was lost.

Of course, the date is set and it doesn't seem like anything will change Brittany's mind. I can only hope that this doesn't become a trend. What do you think?
