Flint boxing greats Claressa Shields, Chris Byrd, Andre Dirrell and Anthony Dirrell will fight as part of a celebrity exhibition at the Perani Event Center this fall.

Flint has been home to several incredible boxers in the last few decades, and most of them will be on hand for the upcoming "Knock-Out Kidney Disease" event at the Perani Event Center September 12th.

The event, decribed as an evening of dinner, entertainment and celebrity exhibition boxing, will feature 2012 Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields, former heavyweight champion and 1992 olympic silver medalist Chris Byrd and 2004 Olympic bronze medalist Andre Dirrell, as well as his younger brother and former middleweight champion Anthony Dirrell. All the aforementioned boxers will fight 4-round exhibitions against opponents to be named later.
