Shakespeare in the Park Returns to Flint this Week
The Tenth Anniversary season of Flint’s ‘Shakespeare in the Park’ returns this week to Kearsley Park before heading to other parks throughout Genesee County.
This year’s production – Merry Wives of Windsor – features themes including love and marriage, jealousy and revenge, social class and wealth. With irony, sarcasm and more, these themes will help to give the play something closer to a modern-day view than is often found in Shakespeare’s plays.
Shakespeare in the Park opens at Kearsley Park with performances Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and an afternoon matinee on Sunday at 2 p.m. Admission for all shows are free. For more information on these shows and then others to follow throughout Genesee County, go to www.kearsleyparkplayers.com.
