U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow unveiled a major plan at the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce in Flint on Monday to ensure U.S. businesses and workers can become more  globally competitive and create jobs in America.

Stabenow, a member of the President's Export Council under both Presidents Bush and Obama, made the announcement at a press conference at the Regional Chamber Headquarters in downtown Flint.

The plan consisted of several action items designed to stand up for American businesses by cracking down on other countries' trade violations that help give their companies an anti-competitive edge.

Others joining Senator Stabenow for the announcement included: Tim Herman, CEO, Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce; Flint Mayor Dayne Walling; John Matonich, President & CEO Rowe Professional Services and Chair, Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce.
