Figured out your Thanksgiving dinner plans yet? If not the Salvation Army is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve dinner for the community. Friends, neighbors and families are all invited!

The Salvation Army says the dinner isn't just for those that have fallen on difficult times, but for anyone that like to join them in sharing this wonderful season. Major Jon Augenstein, Genesee County coordinator for the Salvation Army, says "we see this as a wonderful opportunity to open up our doors and hearts to invite the public in to share Thanksgiving with us. The meal will include all the traditional Thanksgiving fare from turkey and stuffing to delicious pies."

The MTA will provide bus service at no charge to transport those who are unable to drive. It will run from the main terminal on Harrison Street in downtown Flint to the Beecher Corps beginning at 4 p.m. and running every half-hour until 7 p.m.

This year's event is set for Wednesday, November 27th from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Beecher Corps located at 1475 W. Coldwater in Flint. Doors open to the public at 4 p.m. For more information, call the Beecher Corps at (810) 789-4003.
