Flint Mayor Dayne Walling gave his reaction to the Governor’s address and also spoke on the Flint City Jail which will reopen:

Flint Police Chief Alvern Lock spoke on the Governor’s address on Public Safety:

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton spoke on the Governor’s mention that Prosecutors would receive more resources and the reopening of the Flint City Jail:

State Representative Jim Ananich had this to say about the Governor’s address:

“A comprehensive strategy like the one Governor Snyder proposed is the right approach, we just need to make sure we provide the resources it’ll take to make it successful. I’ll continue to work on securing more funding to put additional police on our streets and to support job opportunities.”
