A license plate featuring the Pure Michigan tourism logo is expected to be unveiled today. It will replace the state's standard license plate.

According to WNEM, a second license plate will gradually replace the "Spectacular Peninsulas" plate. It will cost drivers an additional $5 above regular car registration fees.

Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson will be joined by Governor Rick Snyder in Lansing today to promote the plates.
