New growth opportunities are available to local businesses large and small through working with the government. To explore the possibilities, join the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) of the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Shiawassee Chamber of Commerce, on March 14 for Selling Your Products or Services to the Government from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Owosso.

Dustin Frigy, Director of the PTAC for the Regional Chamber says government contracting can provide an opportunity to diversify your business. "Working with the government can open new doors for area businesses," said Frigy. "There are many ways that businesses large and small can work with local, state and federal government departments. That's why this seminar is so important. It provides the information needed to successfully navigate the government maze and reveals exactly what they are looking for from contractors. Come to the Owosso workshop on March 14 and we will show you how to grow your business."

Attendees will also learn about the services and support the Regional Chamber PTAC has available to help with the contracting process. The workshop will benefit management and employees who currently have support or have an interest in facilitating government contracting within their companies.

The seminar focuses on the following topics:

  • Eligibility Requirements
  • Types of Solicitations
  • Marketing Strategies
  • Laws and Regulations
  • How to Request a Post-Submission Debriefing
  • What Products and Services does the State of Michigan Buy?
