Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton has charged the parents of a one-year-old boy with second degree murder and child abuse related to the infant's drowning death.

On Monday, Flint Police were dispatched to a residence on Holly Avenue in the City of Flint in response to a report of a deceased one-year-old child. Upon their arrival, police observed the child's father administering CPR on his son who was then taken to Hurley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Leyton has charged Callie Rose Csercsa, 19 of Flint, and Jeremy Lewis Wise, 29 of Flint, with second degree murder and second degree child abuse related to the drowning death of their son, Aden Lewis Wise.

Police reports say the child had been given a bath and was left unattended at some point in a bathtub full of water. The parents then discovered him face down in the water and authorities were called.

Csercsa and Wise will be arraigned in 68th District Court where pre-trial and preliminary examinations will also be scheduled.
