The City of Flint program that helps residents with certain kinds of warrants get a fresh start is being held again for residents of a certain zip code.

According to MLive, this time the "Operation: Fresh Start" will be available for residents in the zip code 48507 on Monday, September 22, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Ignite Flint located at 4510 South Dort Highway.

The City of Flint, Genesee County, the State of Michigan and community-based organizations are partnering to offer settlements for those with minor infraction and help them apply for a driver's license, find assistance for health and human services, employment opportunities and continuing education.

Residents in the 48507 zip code interested in participating must bring a valid photo ID with their current address showing they live in that area. Those with felony warrants or misdemeanor warrants for child support, driving under the influence and related offenses are not eligible.

This is the second "Operation: Fresh Start." The first was held in July. There are plans to continue the program in other zip codes at later dates.
