Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton has announced that no criminal charges will be filed against a Grand Blanc priest alleged to have inappropriately touched children.

In a statement Leyton said "my office has reviewed the police investigation reports related to allegations of inappropriate behavior by a priest who is currently on leave from Holy Family Catholic Church. Based upon these reports, we do not find probable cause necessary to charge a crime related to the alleged actions of April 30, 2014. I am satisfied with the internal review and process being conducted by officials in the Catholic Diocese in Lansing related to this incident and believe the matter is being handled appropriately."

NBC 25 reports Father Ken Coughlin was alleged to have inappropriately touched the hands and legs of two students. Coughlin went on paid administrative leave since the incident and more recently has taken a leave of absence as well as enter a program of assessment recommended to him by the church.
