Eli Manning passed for 288 yards and a touchdown, as the New York Giants routed the Carolina Panthers, 36-7, on Thursday night in Charlotte. Running back Andre Brown added a career-high 113 rushing yards and two touchdowns for New York (2-1) in his first NFL start in place of the injured Ahmad Bradshaw.

The Giants surged to a 20-0 halftime lead behind a sustained offensive attack and a defense that never allowed Panthers' quarterback Cam Newton to get comfortable. Newton completed 16 of 30 passes for 242 yards and three interceptions for Carolina (1-2). His 1-yard score with 6:25 left in the third quarter produced Carolina's only points of the game. Return specialist Joe Adams fumbled twice for the Panthers, including a turnover on the second-half kickoff.

Giants' receiver Ramses Barden, who started in place of injured Hakeem Nicks, caught nine passes for 138 yards. Tight end Greg Olsen led Carolina with seven catches for 98 yards.
