Concerned what you’re eating may be causing bladder discomfort? There’s an app for that.

Researchers at the Interstitial Cystitis Network released a new iPhone and iPad application that gives patients access to food lists and a food database that they can use while shopping and eating out to deal with overactive bladder.

“It comes as no surprise to most interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) patients that some foods can exacerbate their symptoms,” Jill Osborne MA, President of the Interstitial Cystitis Network, said in a statement. “Typically, foods high in caffeine and acid are the worst offenders but there are many other foods that can trigger bladder discomfort.”

About 90 percent of patients with overactive bladder and other urological problems report sensitivity to foods like coffees, teas, citrus fruits, carbonated beverages, spicy foods and alcohols, Osborne said.

The application features more than 250 food lists based on published research studies.

The lists are divided into three general categories:

  • Bladder friendly foods
  • Foods worth trying cautiously
  • Foods to avoid

The app is currently available in the App Store for iPhones and iPads for 99 cents.
