Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine will celebrate the expansion of its Flint campus with a ceremony and public open house this Friday. Renovation has been completed in the former Flint Journal building and now serves as the College of Human Medicine's Flint campus and center for public health records.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. and speakers will include Lou Anna K. Simon, president of MSU; Marsha Rappley, MD, Dean of MSU's College of Human Medicine; and Tim Herman, president of Uptown Reinvestment Corporation.

An open house for the public will follow the ceremony beginning at 12:30 p.m. and running through 2 p.m. Self guided tours will be available through the lecture hall, computer labs, student study rooms, clinical examination rooms, the Program in Public Health and its research space, as well as two loft apartments.
