The Michigan State Police Flint Post is asking for the public's help in identifying a driver that escaped police following the police-involved crash that killed a woman. The suspect vehicle is described as a green/blue Pontiac sedan with a white license plate. According to a news release from the MSP, the car was being driven by a black male at the time of the incident.

The incident happened on July 3rd, around 4:30 p.m. when a trooper attempted to stop the car traveling westbound on Stewart Avenue near North Street in Flint. The vehicle fled northbound on North Street eluding police after the patrol car was involved in a crash at the intersection of North Street and Pierson Road, killing Jaqueline Nichols. Witnesses state the suspect vehicle turned westbound on Ridgeway Avenue from North Street and struck a utility pole guy-wire before continuing westbound on Ridgeway Avenue.

Anyone who witnessed the pursuit or has information about the identity and location of the vehicle or the suspect is urged to call the MSP Third District Headquarters at (810) 733-9380.
