Mott Community College to Hold Welcome Event for New President

Mott Community College has announced they will host a welcome event for their new president, Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea. The event will be held in the Mott Event Center in the library and will feature refreshments and live music. A formal program will also be held.

Walker-Griffea is the institution's seventh president, succeeding Dr. M. Richard Shaink, and is the college's first woman president and first African-American president. She assumed her new role on August 27th.

The free event, in which the community is invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, October 2nd from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Mott Community College's main campus is located at 1401 E. Court Street in Flint.
