Four new Michigan State Police troopers have been assigned to the detective bureau at the Flint Police Department.

According to an MLive report, the four troopers will be focused on armed robberies and non-critical shootings. Lt. Shannon Sims of the Michigan State Police said "the more investigators we have, the better results we will have."

MLive says there are now about 30 MSP troopers in the city either patrolling or in the detective bureau.
