The Michigan State Police announced today that Michigan residents with a concealed pistol license (CPL) can now renew that license online.

When you receive a letter for CPL renewal it will come with a personal identification number, Michigan residents will need that PIN to renew online. Once you have that, you fill out a short form online and pay the renewal fee, and you are good to go.

You can also renew your CPL at the county clerk's office like you have been able to in the past. There is a mail-in option as well. If you want to apply for a concealed pistol license for the first time you will still need to apply in person at the county clerk's office.

This new renewal method has been available for Michigan residents since November 1st. You can find out additional details here.
