Michigan Ranked #2 In The Country For Human Trafficking
Human trafficking has shocked the United States, and now more than ever people need to be extremely cautious when out in public.
Michigan ranks #2 in the nation for human trafficking right behind Nevada, and adds to the 1.5 million cases of human trafficking in America. The statistics have proven that human trafficking is on the rise, considering as of June 30th 2015 there were more than 2,080 cases of sex trafficking nationally.
Some say that the reason Michigan ranks so high is because of its close proximity to Canada. Since June 2007 the National Human Trafficking Resource Center has received 1969 calls and 483 cases alone in Michigan.
