Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry Receives Facelift

The Michigan State Police have announced that the state's public sex offender registry will have a new look beginning today.

Users will now be able to search by city, zip code, county and offender name. You will also be able to create a search of up to two miles from your home. The level of detail about the offenders will remain the same and visitors to the site will also be able to sign up to receive email alerts when an offender move nearby.

The website has nearly 38,000 registered offenders.
