The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is inviting the public to attend an informational meeting regarding I-475 reconstruction in Genesee County. MDOT is planning to resurface 1.5 miles of I-475 from Clio Road to Saginaw Street in Mt. Morris Township.

As part of the project, MDOT is considering removing the pedestrian structure east of Detroit street due to condition, low use and replacement cost. Public input is sought on the proposal including the need and location of an alternative pedestrian crossing.

The meeting - featuring MDOT staff, township officials, interested residents and parents - will be held on Monday, June 2 from 4-6 p.m. at the Randall Coates Auditorium located at 1020 W. Coldwater Road in Mt. Morris Twp.
