MDOT Announces 2014 Mackinac Bridge Walk Social Media Contest Winners

In the third year of the Michigan Department of Transportation's Mackinac Bridge Walk social media contest, more than 270 entries were submitted, up from 230 in 2013. Of the entries, 245 were photos and there were two videos.

The contest called for people to post their bridge walk memories from this and previous years on their Instagram or Twitter accounts using the hashtag #MightyMacWalk14. Andrea Martineau of Lansing was the grand prize winner and wins a trip to the top of the Mackinac Bridge after the photo she shared with MDOT on Instagram was chosen at random by computer. Judy Wiltse of California won a Pure Michigan gift pack for being the person to travel the furthest to walk the bridge this year and share her experience.
