A 69-year-old Grand Blanc Township man has been charged in Monday's shooting of a police officer.

According to WNEM, Marvin Ware faces two counts of assault with intent to murder.

Officers had been called to Ware's home in the 5000 block of North Georgetown on a domestic violence dispute Monday. Authorities say Ware exited the home and began firing at officers. A female officer was hit during the incident. Officers returned fire and struck Ware.
