On January 5th, Longway Planetarium will close to undergo a massive renovation. According to ABC 12, the inside will be gutted to make way for the future which includes putting in an all new dome, seats and audio system. The entire project is expected to cost $1.8 million and the majority of the funding came from the C.S. Mott Foundation which contributed a grant of $1.5 million.
