Other than baseball's Midsummer Classic, the major sports' all-star games aren't really a big deal—especially the NFL's Pro Bowl. So why should players even bother going?

Many of the players selected to Pro Bowl teams are on one of the two Super Bowl teams and won't play anyway, since it's a week before a game that actually matters.

This year some players have decided to pull out of playing in Sunday's matchup between the AFC and NFC's best. Is it important for them to at least show up? Does it even matter? If no one plays in the Pro Bowl, will they just do away with it?
