Beginning Monday you may want to start planning an alternate route to I-75 in Genesee County.

According to MLive, the Genesee County Road Commission said that crews will begin milling rough spots of northbound I-75 at the Genesee-Oakland County border at 6 a.m.

Work will proceed to the northern I-75/I-475 interchange in Mt. Morris Township then move to the southbound side, and work south back towards Oakland County. Single and double lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day. Drivers are encourage to plan extra time for their commutes. The work is expected to take two weeks.
