Heat Advisory for Genesee County Area Extended Through Friday Night

A heat advisory for the Genesee County area has been extended by the National Weather Service until 8 p.m. Friday.

According to MLive, the heat advisory was originally set to expire at midnight Thursday, but the hot weather is expected to last longer. Thursday's forecast calls for temps in the mid-90s with the heat index making it feel as if it is 103. The low for Thursday is expected to be 79.

Friday's high is expected to be in the low 90s.
