If you work in Miami, congratulations! According to a recent survey by online employment advice forum CareerBliss, you earn a living in the happiest American city in which to work.

The list, based on postings by employees, took into account factors such as job resources, company culture and work environment.

The news for New Haven, CT wasn’t as good — it ranked as the unhappiest city in which to work. Cities that made the unhappy list were rated low by employees due to a lack of growth opportunity and unimpressive reward systems and support.

Heidi Golledge, chief executive officer and co-founder of CareerBliss, said both lists have “important information for not only companies, but also city governments, job-seekers and people looking to transition to a new area.”
