Grand Blanc Schools have said they will extend their school calendar in order to make up for snow days missed this past winter. According to MLive, the district used nine days, three more than the allotted six. Three of Grand Blanc's schools lost more time that that because of power outages that forced them to close. The new calendar has the final day for most students being June 16, four days later than planned. Others will be going until June 17 or June 18. Some dates that MLive says parents should be aware of:

  • Thursday, June 12 - a full day of school for all school buildings
  • Friday, June 13 - a full day of school for all school buildings
  • Monday, June 16 - full day of school for all buildings, but the final day for Grand Blanc HS, East Middle School, Anderson Elementary, City School/Perry Center, Cook Elementary, Indian Hill Elementary, Mason Elementary, McGrath Elementary and Myers Elementary
  • Tuesday, June 17 - West Middle School, Reid Elementary and Brandel Elementary will have school; final day for West Middle and Reid Elementary
  • Wednesday, June 18 - Last day for Brandel Elementary
