The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says about 24 percent of seniors aged 65 and older make at least one visit to the emergency department every year. Most of the visits are from falls, accidents, chest pain, urinary tract infections and strokes. As part of the Genesys Athletic Club Lunch and Learn Series, Zach Landers, RN and manager of Genesys Trauma Services, will talk about these conditions in an effort to help seniors manage their health better. Cost is just $10 and includes lunch. GAC members pay $6. "What lands senior in the ER" will take place on Tuesday, February 3 at noon at Genesys Athletic Club located on the Genesys Regional Medical Center Health Park campus in Grand Blanc.
