Genesys to Host Shakin’ It for A Cause to Support Cancer Patients

Genesys Athletic Club (GAC) will host Shakin' it for a Cause - an annual event to raise funds for Genesys cancer patients who need financial assistance.

Door's open at 5:30 p.m. The evening includes shopping from 6-7 p.m., Zumba and Bellydi (a form of belly dancing) from 7-8 p.m., and refreshments from 8-9 p.m. Every participant is entered into a prize drawing.

Cost is $35 a person; or $55 for a mom and daughter.

Proceeds will go to Reunion with a Cause, an annual event Genesys hosts in partnership with the Holly community to remember loved ones lost to cancer and to celebrate cancer survivors. Last year, more then $85,000 was raised. These funds are used to help Genesys cancer patients pay for medications, medical equipment, rental equipment such as wheelchairs, private pay aides, transportation to and from cancer treatments, and other special needs not covered by health insurance. This year's Reunion with a Cause will take place Friday, August 10 at the Holly High School track.
