The Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced the formation of a Speakers Bureau as part of its community outreach efforts.

The primary goals of the Speakers Bureau are to provide information on available programs and services; promote positive news happening in the community; increase the visibility of the chamber's work in the community; report the organization's performance results; and communicate how the public can get involved in revitalizing the Flint-Genesee region.

According to CEO Tim Herman, the new Speakers Bureau is yet another way that the Regional Chamber looks to engage the community. "We have launched a concerted effort to reach out and connect members of the community with opportunities such as training, jobs, education and entrepreneurial" said Herman. "The Speakers Bureau is part of that effort and serves as a convenient process for groups that invite us to speak."

The Speakers Bureau provides Genesee Regional Chamber staff as speakers on topics including business services, economic development, employer and youth education, reinvention of Flint and Genesee County, government contracting, business and community engagement (how to get involved), and tourism and business networking. Genesee Regional Chamber leadership and staff are available to speak to non-profit, professional, educational, business and civic or trade organizations.
