The Michigan State Police (MSP) Flint Post announced yesterday that a suspect is in custody for a bomb threat made on November 4, advising that five bombs had been placed in unnamed Genesee County Schools.

Detectives are preparing a warrant request for Adam White, 32, of Burton, for one count of Making a Terrorist Threat, a 20 year felony. White is currently being held on a $50,000 bond in the Genesee County Jail for one count of bank robbery.

On November 4, 2011, White made two bomb threat calls, received by Saginaw County and Flint City 911 dispatch centers, prior to robbing the Bank of America on Court Street in Burton. The calls were made to create a distraction for police prior to robbing the bank.

Photographs of the robbery suspect were released to the media along with the audio recording of the bomb threat. This generated several tips that were called into the Burton Police Department. An arrest warrant was obtained for robbery and White was arrested on November 18, 2011 by the Marshall Police Department. Additional investigative information was obtained that identified White as the caller who made the bomb threats.
