The Genesee County Board of Commissioners will host a press conference on Thursday to discuss the successful completion of its Energy Efficiency and Asset Renewal Program.

County Board Chairman, Jaime Curtis, lauded the project saying "out effort is an example of a successful public-private partnership. It utilized an energy performance contract with Johnson Controls and the leveraging low interest Federal funding to produce needed upgrades and efficiency."

County Board Vice Chairman Ted Henry added "this project provided over 150 people work through local firms that were subcontracted. Anything that the County can do to help private sector jobs is a real plus."

All interested citizens are invited to attend the press conference from 9-10 a.m. in the Harris Auditorium of the Genesee County Administration Building located at 1101 Beach Street in Flint.
