At Wednesday's Genesee County Board of Commissioners meeting, the issue of whether or not to fire Controller George Martini, was sent to committee.

Chairman Jaime Curtis last week called for Martini's resignation saying there were problems with the $80.6 million budget commissioners had adopted last month. Today, Curtis said "due process and fundamental fairness is more then fair, so that's the way it's going to be handled."

Curtis has not said what specifically the issues with the budget are, only saying there was a "laundry list." In order for Martini to be terminated it would require a two-third majority vote.
