Genesee County Commissioner to Kick Off Blanket Drive

Genesee County Commissioner Brenda Clack will kick off her 2014 Blanket Drive with a press conference on Wednesday. According to a news release from Genesee County, the Blanket Drive will be collecting new and nearly new blankets which will then be distributed to Catholic Charities, Women's Shelter and My Brothers Keeper.

Clack has supported the project for the past twelve years after discovering how valuable a new blanket can be to a family in need. "It hurts to know that little children are sleeping on a cold floor during these very hard winters in out community. Whatever I can do, I will," said Clack.

Blankets or monetary donations can be brought to room 312 of the Genesee County Administration Building located at 1101 Beach Street in Flint.
