Motorists in Michigan will find a little sticker shock at the pumps this week. According to AAA Michigan, the average gas price has jumped 22.5 cents this week to a statewide average of just under $4.10 per gallon.

AAA says the prices have increased following "lingering refinery issues at several Midwest refineries, notably the Joliet, Illinois refinery that remains offline."

Gas prices in and around the Flint area are actually slightly higher than the state average with prices around $4.13 per gallon after being among the lowest in the state last week at $3.81.

AAA surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily. For more information, visit www.fuelgaugereport.com. To find the cheapest gas nationwide go to AAA.com and click on AAA Fuel Price Finder.
