Gas Prices Go Up. Flint Prices Lowest in State.

According to AAA Michigan, state motorists will pay 1.6 cents more for gas this week. The current statewide average for a gallon of gas is just over $3.41, which is 26 cents more then last year at this time.

Gas prices in and around Flint are some of the lowest in the state. A gallon of gas is averaging just over $3.37, up from $3.35 last week, but still lower then the statewide average. Last year, gas prices were around $3.17 a gallon.

In Metro Detroit, gas prices rose to about $3.40 per gallon, up 2.3 cents from last week.
