State motorists are paying sixth-tenths of a cent less for gas this week, following last week's 39-cent increase, reports AAA Michigan. Michigan's average price is currently fourth highest in the nation, following Hawaii, California and Illinois.

Michigan's current statewide average is just under $3.99 per gallon, although AAA says motorists will find gas prices at $4 or slightly more in many areas. The statewide average is 31.2 cents more than last year.

Gas prices in and around Flint are averaging just over $3.97 a gallon, up from last week's price of $3.95 per gallon.
