Gas Prices Back Up, Flint Still Some of Lowest in State

State motorists are paying an average of $3.73 per gallon for gas this week, up 11.2 cents from last week and down almost 20 cents from last year, according to AAA Michigan.

Gas prices in and around the Flint area are averaging just under $3.69 per gallon, up almost 20 cents from last week when prices averaged $3.50 a gallon. However, average prices in the Flint area are still some of the lowest in the state.

In the Metro Detroit Area, prices are averaging just over $3.76 a gallon, up 11.8 cents from last week, but still down 14 cents from last year.
